High-rise Living in Dallas, TX

There are nearly 70 high-rise condo buildings in Dallas. How do you find the one that's right for you? Highrises.com, that's how.

Dallas Condo Neighborhood Guide

Uptown Dallas is the epicenter of condo living in Dallas. Uptown has more condo units than any other neighborhood and a huge variety of building styles, from lofts like West Village and 1999 McKinney to some of Dallas's most luxurious high-rises like the Ritz-Carlton Residences and the Azure Condos. With all this density, traffic can be a challenge, but many newer buildings are going up in very walkable areas that include grocery staples like Whole Foods plus a number of restaurants and bars.

When it comes to downtown, it wasn't long ago that downtown Dallas was a ghost town at night and on the weekends. It was mainly a place to work, but its status as a residential neighborhood began to change when office towers like 1505 Elm and The Metropolitan began converting to residential. Downtown Dallas really came into its own as a residential neighborhood with the redevelopment of the arts district and the introduction of luxury buildings like One Arts Plaza and Museum Tower.

The stately buildings of Turtle Creek are where Dallas' high-rise condominium market started. Some of the buildings here date back to the 1950's and ‘60s, like 3525 — the city’s iconic mid-century modern tower. Every 20 years or so, another wave of condo buildings appear along Turtle Creek. The 1980's brought us The Warrington and The Claridge. In the 2000's came The Mayfair and Vendome Condos. Recently there have been cranes above Turtle Creek yet again as we welcome newcomers like LTD Edition 2505.

Victory Park is home to some of the most modern high-rise towers in Dallas like The House and the W Residences Dallas. Although it had a rough start, some changes in the zoning and traffic laws have helped it grow in popularity. There are several newer lease towers going in this area, too.

Maybe you want the lock-and-leave lifestyle, but you don't want to live in the heart of the city? No problem. Dallas has suburban condos all along the north side, from Preston Tower and The Shelton near Highland Park, to the Bonaventure in Far North Dallas. Now there are also high rises now in Addison, Plano, and even Flower Mound!

Dallas Knows Luxury

Dallas is well known for having a keen sense of style and quality, and the condo market is no exception. Developers who want their luxury buildings to stand out have to go the extra mile to please buyers here. This means using the highest-quality materials, making sure fit and finish are spot on, and selecting the perfect location.

Even still, Dallas luxury buyers are looking for that extra something that sets their building apart like the outdoor fireplaces on the terraces at Azure. The building also features penthouses with private rooftop pools. Trust us when we say that there are few views better than those from your private pool on the 31st floor. The quality of the service and staff at the Ritz-Carlton Residences has become legendary while the Museum Tower takes luxury to new heights as the tallest condo building in Dallas. Haven’t quite found what you’re looking for? New luxury towers are coming, and we can't wait to show them to you.

Explore New Construction Condos

Dallas is in the middle of a tremendous housing boom. A lot of people want to live in the city, but there isn't much empty land available. As a result developers have nowhere to go but up, so we're seeing construction cranes everywhere. If you're interested in living in one of Dallas's newest condo towers consider the following buildings:

Dallas’s Dog-Friendly Condo Buildings

With very few exceptions, Dallas high-rise condo buildings are generally dog friendly. What makes the best stand apart, though, is access to green space for plenty of walks. To help, we've highlighted a few buildings here that are both dog-friendly but in a great area for walks.

  • 588 Lofts: Concrete floors, open hallways and no size restrictions make this a great building for dog owners. The fact that it's right next door to Griggs Park seals the deal. This place has it all for dog owners.
  • The Mayfair: Turtle Creek Park is right outside your door when you live here, and that's especially convenient at Easter when it’s time for the Pooch Parade!
  • 21 Turtle Creek: There are a lot of dogs in this building, and one of the reasons is its huge, grassy lawn. This high rise has so much outdoor space to offer, an amenity that is becoming increasingly rare.
  • Travis at Katy Trail: Walk out your building's door and directly onto the Katy Trail. Need we say more?

These are just a few! Let us know what you're looking for and we'll help you find the perfect building for your whole family.
