These Reynoldstown lofts, also known as the Urban Lofts Townhomes, are ideally situated in walking distance to Glenwood Park and a short drive to Edgewood, Little 5 Points and Cabbagetown. They are very industrial on the outside, but modern and practical on the inside. The architect, Larry David, used corrugated metal on the exterior both for its design qualities and its practically and ease of maintenance. Galvalume, the registered trademark name, had a coating of aluminum and zinc and combines long-term corrosion resistance, high-temperature oxidation resistance, and heat reflectivity. The metal sheet is especially good for use on air-conditioned structures. Galvalume also has excellent paint adhesion, with a wide variety of colors and finishes available, as you’ll see at the Metalworks. Properly installed, Galvalume requires no special maintenance and reduces the hazard of fire. David only uses the highest quality insulation to serve as a sound barrier so residents have optimal privacy. All homes at Metal Works have a private garage and patio space, both of which come at a premium at other locations.
