A 12-story building on the corner of 4th and Spring, Los Angeles’s Continental Building offers studio, one-bedroom, and loft living options. The building was originally built in 1904 by John Parkinson who was known for designing many of the city’s historic buildings like the Alexandria Hotel and City Hall.
Previously named the Braly Block, it was the first skyscraper in downtown Los Angeles. All of the building’s units feature Energy Start appliances across gas ranges, refrigerators, dishwashers, and garbage disposals. Every floor of the building is outfitted with its own washer and dryer.
One of the best things about the Continental Building is that pets are welcome with no additional deposit or pet rent, which is a rare find. Parking is available for an additional fee. Outside of the residences, those who call the Continental Building home enjoy daily night patrol, controlled access, and live/work zoning.
