Currently under construction, the 61-story highrise, 550 Howard, will bring 200 new condominium homes to SOMA’s east cut neighborhood by 2020. It will be the fourth tallest building in San Francisco rising 800 feet, with residences on the top 27 floors. Built by the F4 Transbay project team the tower will be mixed-use and include a luxury hotel, office space, and over 9,000 square feet of retail on the lower floors. A fifth-floor sky bridge will connect to the adjacent Transbay Transit Center rooftop park. Like Salesforce the tower was designed by architect Cesar Pelli and will be a welcomed addition to San Francisco’s skyline.
