In the late 1800's Five Points originated because the Cap Hill neighborhood was created first as the originating neighborhood that began to merge with other neighborhoods in the surrounding area with a Trolly that ran through the neighborhood. The Trolly was looking to refer to this area without listing every intersection or stop with the need of differentiating the area. With the Trolly defining the area and name based on the track placement in Denver Five points was born. The Trolly provided the residents of this time to thrive with transportation needs. The Trolly ran through the community at the intersection 27th and Welton and 26th Ave and Washington creating a visual representation of Five Points. The Trolly creatively named this area Five Points because they didn't want to list every intersection the trolly ran through, so they named it Five points.
