Property Description The Tony Lee Apartments - Lake City Family Housing is a 6 story mixed use project that offers 69 units of housing for those making between 30 and 60 of King County AMI. The building has studios, one-, two-, and three-bedroom apartments, a rooftop deck, a residents' gardens, a solar array, and a four classroom preschool operated by the Refugee Women's Alliance (ReWA). The building is named in honor of Tony Lee, a civil rights advocate and champion for low income families, people of color, refugees and immigrants. He was a founding member of the Asian-Pacific Islander Coalition of Washington and the Equity in Education Coalition. He worked as an attorney at Evergreen Legal Services, and on advocacy for the Washington Association of Churches, the Catholic Archdiocese and Solid Ground. He was awarded the Goldmark Award for exceptional leadership in social justice from the Washington Legal Foundation.
