The Roosevelt Apartments was completed in 1929 and named for President Theodore Roosevelt, a personal friend of the land owner. At the time, the building was widely regarded as the most modern and luxurious apartment complex in the Inland Northwest. Designed in the Beaux-Arts style by renowned architect Gustav Pehrson, the building is set in the heart of the coveted South Hill neighborhood, and features 67 units, a grand foyer, a living roof, and views of downtown. New ownership is restoring the entire building interior, delivering modern amenities while respecting the classic design features of this architectural treasure. The property is honored on the National Registry of Historic Places.
