Westbank is one of the largest private developers in North America, known for our collaborations with many of the world's most creative minds. Our collaborations have come to form a core element of our practice, anchored by over 50 public art commissions throughout our body of work. With our first project in Seattle, we saw an opportunity to contribute and improve upon the strength of the First Hill neighborhood. Museum House is inspired by its context, adjacent to the Frye Museum and in a diverse, amenity-rich and culturally vibrant district. Comprising of two towers, Museum House contributes 506 new homes to the neighborhood, along with fine grain retail within the project that exemplifies the successful integration of art and architecture. On completion, we will be taking this first project from one rental residential tower to a low-carbon campus. This initiative, which could be described as building one of Seattle's most inspiring communities, is First Hill. Part of a broader contribution to the city of Seattle planned with our collaborators at Creative Energy, Museum House will mark the start of an aggressive approach to the climate crisis, to housing diversity, and inspiring design. A community of homes within one of Seattle's great neighborhoods. A project that hits well above its weight.
